The happy home of Mr. Henry A. VandenBoom has been rendered desolute by the death of the wife and mother, which sad Event occurred at 5:30 yesterday morning. About two weeks since the home circle was gladened by the Addition of a bright Littleabe, but it appears that the mother never revovered from the illness which followed and at an early hour yesterday she closed her eyes on all earthly associations.
Mrs. VandenBoom, who was formerly miss elizabeth Geise, was Born in Damme Oldenburg, Germany, in 1848. She came to merica early in life and made her home with her uncle, the late Mr. Henry Geise. She was married to Mr. H. A. VandenBoom on the 2d of April, 1869. She was the mother of nine children, seven Boys and two Girls, who, with her bereaved husband, are left to mourn her untimely departure.
> In the many years she lived in Quincy her life was chiefly devoted to the welfare and happiness of her family, and as her best affections found expression in the circle of home, it was there that she was most fully apprediated, and it is there where her loss is the mostkeenly felt.
> Yet in the large nunber [so] of acauaintances in the City whose friendship she enjoyed there vill be the most sincere regrets over the loss of her companionship and in the walks of liefe which have been marked by the charities and brightened by her sympathies she will be sadly missed.
> The funeral will take place on next Touesday morning at 7:30 from the
> Family residence on Spring street, and at 8 o'clock from St. Francis church.
