BLEY -The death of Mr. Alois John Bley of Humboldt occurred at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Humboldt, on March 17, 2007. He was 71 years of age. Al was born on July 22, 1935, the second oldest son to Louis and Elizabeth (nee Willenborg) Bley, on Sec. 16 38 20 W2 in the Annaheim district. Al's life revolved around farming. He had many hobbies which included curling, bowling, fishing, hunting and camping. Al most enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. He loved his family and especially enjoyed teasing his nieces and nephews. He lived on the family farm up until a few years ago when he moved into Humboldt. Al will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his two brothers and three sisters: Leona (Joe) Heilman of Saskatoon; Martin (Yvonne) Bley of St. Gregor; Art (Linda) Bley of Saskatoon; Betty (Tony) Bohmann of Saskatoon; Lori (Kent) Sproule of Saskatoon; Sister-in-law, Patricia Bley of Humboldt; and 18 nieces and nephews and 21 great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Al was predeceased by his parents, Louis (1991) and Elizabeth (nee Willenborg) Bley (1986); his brother Bernard Bley (2001); his sister Marie Knittig (2003); brother-in-law Alfred Knittig (2004); and by his nieces, Deborah Anne Bley (1980) and Adrienne Bley (1975). A Prayer Service for Al will be held on Monday, March 19, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Ann's R.C. Church, Annaheim. The Funeral Mass will be offered from St. Ann's R.C. Church, Annaheim on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Rev. Fr. Rudolph Novecosky, O.S.B. Others taking part in the service are: Darren Bohmann, eulogy; Dylan Knittig, cross bearer; Tawny Bley, Tyy Pappenfus, Scott Hahn and Lynette Bohmann, Scripture readers; Leona Heilman, Betty Bohmann and Lori Sproule, gift bearers; Harvey Kiedrowski, intentions; Pat Bley, communion; Honorary Pallbearers are "all those who shared in Al's life. " Active Pallbearers are Brian Heilman, Daryl Bley, Darren Bohmann, Ryan Sproule, Duane Knittig and Les Knittig. Interment will follow at St. Ann's R.C. Cemetery. Memorial donations directed to either St. Ann's R.C. Cemetery or Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully received by the family. The Funeral arrangements were entrusted to SCHULER-LEFEBVRE FUNERAL CHAPEL, Humboldt. (682-4114) .
