Dietrich Hohlman, a highly respected citizen and one of the homesteaders inSherman township, died last Monday morning at 11 o'clock. He had been in poorhealth for several years, but was not confined to his bed until nine daysbefore the end came. The funeral was held Wednesday at 11 o'clock at the home,and later at Loseke Creek church, reverend Frese conducting the service. Mr.Hohlman was a native of Oldenbusch, Germany. He was born April 5, 1834.Thirty-three years ago he came to America, and direct to this community. Hewas married in 1875 to Miss Wilhelmina Plugge. His wife died fourteen yearsago. He is survived by stree sons and four daughters, who still reside athome, with the exeption of Miss Louise Hohlman, now living at Arlington,Nebraska. |
